Bio

Louis Gentile is an internationally-accredited composer and sound designer. He has contributed music for Netflix's 'Insatiable’, CBS’ ‘The Amazing Race’, TLC’s ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’, HULU internet, Amazon Video on Demand, E!’s ‘Chelsea Lately’, Martha Stewart Living, Discovery, The Science Channel and The Learning Channel. Louis has also scored or contributed scoring for over two dozen films. 

Legendary composer Angelo Badalamenti has referred to Louis Gentile as "a composer, arranger, orchestrator of very high quality". His awards and honors include the SCL NY Composer Mentor Program, the Society of Composers and Lyricists (LA) Songwriter Sing Out!, the BMI Film Composer Workshop, Manhattan Producers Alliance Emerging Talent and the ASCAP Composer Showcase for the ASCAP/Columbia University Film Composer's Workshop. 

As a guitarist, Louis has performed in Disney’s ‘High School Reunion: The Musical’, Godspell - 30th Anniversary revival (w/Stephen Schwartz), ‘Summer 69', the Musical Happening’, ‘Honky-Tonk Angel, The Story of Patsy Kline’ and Broadway at Bryant Park Shows, as well as backing up hundreds of people along the way. 

Louis holds a B.A. in Theory and Composition/Performance from Montclair State College, and has studied music scoring and technology at NYU and Columbia University. He is an adjunct professor of music at Bergen Community College and has taught Advanced Audio Recording, Midi/ Synthesis and Music Theory, among others.
